Cookie Policy
ewa.tax sets no advertising or third-party cookies. Apart from remembering your choice, it stores nothing on your device and sends no analytics unless you allow it.
Last updated 16 October 20261. What this policy covers
The Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 require us to tell you about anything the website stores on, or reads from, your device, and to ask your permission unless it is exempt. That includes cookies and similar technology such as the browser's local and session storage. ewa.tax uses browser storage rather than cookies, but this policy uses "cookies" for all of them.
This policy is part of how we explain our use of personal data. For everything else, see the Privacy Policy.
2. Everything the website may store
| Name | Type | Purpose | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| ewa-consent | Local storage · Necessary | Remembers your cookie choices and when you made them, so we do not ask on every page. | 6 months, then we ask again |
| ewa-pref-billing | Local storage · Preferences | Remembers whether you chose monthly or annual prices on the pricing page. | Until you clear it or turn preferences off |
| ewa-sid | Session storage · Analytics | A random ID that lets us count one visit as one visit. It contains nothing about you. | Deleted when you close the tab |
Only ewa-consent is stored without asking, because the website cannot remember your choice without it. Preferences and analytics are off until you turn them on.
3. What analytics records
With your permission, the website sends anonymous events to our analytics database (Supabase, hosted in London): the page, the sections that come into view, the visible label of buttons and links you click, the questions you open, how far you scroll and whether you are on a phone, tablet or computer, together with the tab's random ID.
It does not record what you type, your name, your email, your IP address or a fingerprint of your device, and it is not connected to the founding list. We use it only to see which parts of the website are useful and improve them. Individual events are deleted after 90 days; after that we keep only totals.
4. What we do not use
- No advertising, retargeting or social media cookies or pixels.
- No third-party analytics services such as Google Analytics.
- No fonts, videos or scripts loaded from other companies' servers: the fonts, video frames and 3D model are served from ewa.tax itself.
When you join the founding list, the form sends your details to Google (our provider for the list). That is a form submission, not a cookie, and is covered in the Privacy Policy.
5. Your choices
On your first visit you can choose Accept, Reject or Choose. You can change your mind at any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page, or with the button above. Turning a category off deletes what it stored and stops it straight away.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat that as a refusal of preferences and analytics and do not show the banner. Most browsers also let you clear or block site storage; if you block it, the website still works, but it will ask for your choice again.
6. Changes
If we add anything to the table above, we will update this policy before it is used, and ask for your permission again where it is needed.
